IRQ conflict problem

I have searched enough on this topic but i am not able to get a solution
that would solve the problem.

USB device does not work on my laptop. I have configured
all the necessary drivers. It seems to load all the drivers.
I get some timeout messages. I suspect the problem is the IRQ conflict.
While booting, it is spewing out the message saying something like:

IRQ routing conflict for 00:07:05, have irq 5, want IRQ 10
PCI: Sharing IRQ 10 with ....

Sorry that i am not able to print the exact message.

Kernel : Linux 2.4.20, redhat 9
Laptop : Sony Vaio PCG-FXA63

Thanks for any help on this..
