IRC with SSL?

I've got a question.
I want to use IRC with SSL to connect to link-net securely.
With windows I just launch WinSSLWrap (tunneler)
Then I connect to myself and it'll route to link-net.
Chat-X didn't work.
But how can I do it with linux?

Oh yeah, my specs
AMD 1900+ XP
1024MB RAM
Geforce 4 MX420
RedHAt 8.0
SB Live 5.1
