IRC Ruby Bot
 

Hi all,

See if ya can give me hand here will ya. I've got my IRC server and a channel bot, n I felt like including another bot just for fun. Its the ruby bot (rbot) it all seemed simple enough, emerge rbot n all, but Im currently having some trouble getting it to run. The bot is fairly simple nothing much that should be able to go wrong really.

ran with ./rbot

/rbot:27:in `require': /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rbot/ircbot.rb:607: parse error (SyntaxError)

I have tried running after configuring the conf files and before same error doesnt make any difference really.

I also tried downloading the latest version and ./rbot.rb (the configuration executable) fails with a similar error.

I was just wondering if anyone knows a bit about this bot and could give me a hand fixing it? Or if you know of come better chatterbots with some cool features that would be great.
