IRC Client

I'm looking for an IRC client that has graphical and text modes and a sort of "session support" between them.

For example... Let's say I start the graphical client on my home computer. I then ssh to that computer. I want to be able to open up a text client for the same session that the graphical client is running. Does this make sense? Does such an IRC client exist?

BitchX has graphical and text modes. I'm not sure about the rest.
