iPod shuffle unmounting during gtkpod transfer
 

I am trying to use gtkpod 0.99.14 to transfer mp3s to a 1st get ipod shuffle. The main problem I'm encountering is that the device is unmounted before the sync is finished, leaving it in a corrupt state. This happens very reliably. I can't figure out what is unmounting the device, nor can I seem to lock it to prevent it from unmounting by e.g. cd'ing to a directory inside the mountpoint. Any ideas?

I'm on Kubuntu 9.04.
