Ipod bs!

Okay, I'm using debian lenny and Ipod Nano. I'm just trying to upload music from my desktop to my Nano. If I use gtkpod or amorak, I get some lame "can't detect your firewire id" message even though this is usb. If I use banshee, every time I pull a track over to the Ipod window to load up, the entire app. closes. Sometimes I get the song, but most times I don't. I'm sick of this bs. Help appreciated.

Is this a new Nano? The new style iPods (Nano 3G+, iPod Classic, etc) need a Firewire ID set manually. The libgpod documentation explains how to do this.

Yep, this is a new Nano. I'll check the link out.

Many, Many Thanks,
