ipconfig /release/renew


What is the equivalent of this in linux? I know ifconfig will show the ip info, but how do I do a release and renew? Would be much faster than rebooting every time I do any network changes requiring a renewal.

From "man dhclient"
dhclient -r eth0
dhclient eth0
