IP Mapping
I am the designated 'IT' person in my small business office. The people who set up our server used Red Hat. Now, I have taught myself some basic Linux commands from necessity, but the other day I received this from the people who's software is run on the Linux box:
This will require us to change our public IP addresses. We will be changing from the 64.214.111.* block to the 207.58.198.* block.
This change will affect you only if one or more of the following apply to you:
a. You or your clients have domain names which are currently hosted on our public webserver at 64.214.111.*
b. You have implemented filtering rules in your router based on one or more IP addresses with the 64.214.111.* block. This may have been done for security reasons to limit outside access to your system.
So my question is, how do you changing the mapping to reflect the new IP addresses?
Thanks!
