Inventory tool for Unix Servers

Dear All,

Has anyone come across a decent Inventory (Hardware & Software) Gathering Tool.

I googled out, but could not found anything impressive.

Please share your suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

Thank droyden, but I am looking something more versatile than cfg2html though which I can maintain a centralized inventory. Something like a web-based tool would perfectly suit my needs.

This looks good at first glance. I have googled a How-To too.

Please share if you too have any useful links.

Thanks droyden, I will try this and post my results here.

I use glpi with the pdf and manufacturer plugins looking to implement ocs myself. Ran it in a test environment and it produced some nice results, has cross platform agents too

I tried the below How-TOs but are not working for me. :(

http://blog.famillecollet.com/pages/OCS-GLPI-en
http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-ins...-on-centos-5.5

The only difference is I am using 32 bit CPU and How-TO are on 64 bit.

What didnt work, I have set this up for xp/7 clients speaking to a ocs and glpi install on debian stable

I'd go for ocsinventory as well. The only way to get a glance of it is to test it on a vm and play.
Documentation is quite essential. It has been packaged for Ubuntu and other mainstream distributions as well.

Alternative, if you need something that does also inventory, you could check out Landscape (again, for Ubuntu).
