internet speed monitoring s/w
 

Which s/w in linux is used for internet speed(bps/kbps/mbps) monitoring.

there are tons. what desktop environment are you using? usually there's one or more system and/or web monitoring utilities that come with the desktop environment you use.

i personally use gkrellm, it monitors everything.

i use kde on mandrake 9.2,

also, knemo is a internet monitoring utility that comes with kde in some distros. it reminds me of that little icon in the windows system tray, and it does basically the same thing: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=12956

you can also go to http://freshmeat.net/ and do a search for internet monitoring utilities, they've got a lot of software there.
