Internet Problem

Hello I m usman
I am using redhat linux 9
i m hving a problem that is, i hav made a dial up account, it connects successfully but after 60 seconds or 120 seconds it disconnects.

same connection of ISP works fine saveral hours in windows XP and win98 because i have tripple boot win98, xp and linux

someone told me that linux does not support tripple boot. as it supports dual boot

plz tell me how i should cope this problem

Whoever told you that linux is a dualboot system and therefore can't "triple boot", doesn't know what he's saying... lilo can boot a lot of operating systems...

Regarding your modem, check when you connect (if, for example you use kppp) if the "Disconnect if not connecter in 60 seconds" check box is checked. You should uncheck it.

Lightbulb Dial up problem

Check your dial up setting in Redhat and verify that you dont have it set to automatically disconnect....
