internet connection slowed down

Hello, everyone

Im running linux redhat 9.0 and i've noticed that my internet connection has slowed down, it takes for ever to open some websites. i have installed rd 3 times in this compueter and after a while i get the same problem, my connection slows down for some reason

Do you have any ideas what the problem could be?

The problem is probably external to your computer. What type of connection do you have; dial up, cable, dsl ? What ISP are you using? Does your ISP have several T3 lines or just one?

"i have cable and not i'm not getting any errors"

The response time on cable can vary widely in the normal course of events. The cable company allots a certain amount of cable bandwith to Internet. Then the various users on that physical cable contend for the bandwidth. If you are the only user currently using the cable then the response time is very fast. If other internet users are using the cable at the same time then the response time will slow down. I have read that the slowest that the response time will degrade to is the equivelent of dial up access.
