Internet Connection Sharing Squid-Transarent Test Setup
I am planning on deploying a Squid transparent proxy server running ubuntu on an 100 person network to speed up the internet connection. The server has 2 network cards, one is connected on the LAN with a static IP, the other is on the WAN with a static IP.
I want to plug my machine into the box to test the server. I have set up the IP tables, but I don't want to enable DHCP if possible. Does anyone know how to set this up properly, including my local machine?
Then once squid is tested and it works, I want to deploy it on my companies network between the router/dhcp and all of the client computers. How do I config the two network cards?
Thanks for the help.
