Unhappy internet connection & hardware

I've installed Red Hat 7.2 on one of my hdd's, gnome & kde. But for the life of me I can't get any of my add on's to work, there's no driver for my epson480 colour jet printer, my mitsubishi diamond view scanner and worst, my USB modem. I've searched high and low particularly for a modem driver, but to no avail. It's a 56k BILLIONTON USB modem. Is that linux compatible or do I have to get another one?
