Internet Browsers

Just have a question about internet browsers. I have for a long time used Opera in Windows so when I installed Linux I did the same. I have noticed that there are a ton of browsers. Which one do people recommend or warn against. It seems that everything loads up slowly too right now, but I just installed yesterday. Thanks for any input.

please please search this site for polls about favourite browsers etc... you'll get plenty of results.

As was said, you'll find lots of polls about this subject. I would just like to add that I have tried a lot of browsers and Firebird by Mozilla is the fastest one I have seen. There are tweaks which make my dialup load pages almost as fast as my satellite connection. It's really nice.

I beg to differ

I've tried Firebird and it's not the fastest. To me the fastest by far is Dillo. Not only extremely fast, but very simple. I just love it. Just like the Germans, they do things simply and they go all out.

Firebird is very nice compared to the bloated Mozilla, but i just like things simple, especially when i'm new to Linux.
