Internet Browser Plugins on RH 9

Today I installed RH9 and I'm feeling pretty good(!) I had an initial problem which was that my root pwd wasn't working so I dropped into CLI mode andchanged the password which was the point I realised that despite saying English GB all through the install, my keyboard was only set up as GB when I booted up. The install procedure had transposed keys....! But I'm over that now.

Has anyone had any problems with the plugins for Netscape/Galeon/Mozilla? Specifically (so far) the RealPlayer plugin. I followed all the instructions on the site and I can't get it to run. Occasionally it pops up with the registration screen, but then it does nothing. I don't even get error messages.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Try running your browser from a shell so that you can see what errors the RealPlayer plugin is giving you.

Tried opening RealPlayer from cmd prompt - it's sitting there doing nothing. No HD activity.

When running browser from shell, the browser opens. What do I need to do next? I went to the bbc website and opted to listen via RealPlayer, but although it d/ls the .ram file to start it off (and recognises that it should run in RealPlayer, nothing happens.

Haven't seen any error messages.
