Intel GMA 900 Linux driver doesn't support XFree86 4.2

My application only can execute under XFree86 4.2 but Intel 915 graphic driver only support XFree86 4.3. How can I solve this problem? Your reply will be apprecaited.

I imagine it would be easiest to fix the application. I see no good reason an app would refuse to work under a newer Xfree version. The X11 library interface has not changed.
