intel based osx emulation on linux - possible?

i was just wondering. if new apple computers are based on intel processors, would it be possible to create something like wine, allowing us to run intel-mac programs fast enough to work? osx is closer to linux than windows, am i right? so there also should be less compatibility problems. programs like photoshop or any other written for osx would run without problems. correct me if i'm wrong.

Not necessarily. It's true that the base of Mac OS X is Darwin which is like Unix; but Mac OS X is much more than that - the GUI and all the high level Mac operating system libraries stuff on top of that that real programs need to use are all proprietary stuff, and like for Wine, it will take a very long time for people to figure out and reverse engineer how these work and implement them in free software.
