InstMsiA.exe Wine Problem

I can not seem to install InstMsiA.exe with wine. During the install process the installer prints Error 2235. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? All help is appreciated.

What is a InstMsiA.exe?. You've to be much more specific, telling the application you are trying to install, the version of wine you are using, etc.
I will give you a tip right away. Don't use wine. It does not "work" . Use always a program that has a native Linux version for it. Here is a nice list:

http://linuxshop.ru/linuxbegin/win-l...en/table.shtml

If you still want to try as hard as John McClane in Die Hard to make your Win32 application to run under Linux, check out Franks Corner:

http://frankscorner.org/

they have a lot of tutorials to help you out using wine. I wish good luck though!

Regards!

Sorry InstMsiA.exe is Windows Installer. Yes, I know about frankscorner.org, but there a fewer people who regularly check the forums there.

Which version of Wine are you running - I believe that not all support the win installer.

Try installing MSI from microsoft.com first - believe it or not some installers simply bail if it's not present.
