I don't know Licq myself, but if you want yahoo! instant messaging on linux I'd recommend gaim, it supports multiple protocols and is well tested and stable, it certainly works, is quickly updated when yahoo! break it (by changing servers, whcih they do often), and has a windows port so if you do ever use windows you can use the same software in windows and linux which I personally find important.

I think "Licq" came with default installation.
$ yum search gaim
Code:
..........
Looking in available packages for a providing package
Available package: gaim.i386 1:1.1.4-1.FC2 from updates-released matches with
gaim

Is this the right package?
