Installing YMessenger

I am completely new user of Linux

So, I can not install YahooMessenger, but I would like to do that very much.

The version of my Linux is 2.2.14

I tried to guess, but always obtained a message like "Can not run the program"

Could anybody send me detailed instructions how can I install YM?

I have to add that I have no access to root directory

Well first off, what distro are you using and I assume you are trying to install with RPM since I think they only offer that for Linux based systems.

It will usually be just a simple:

rpm -ivh ymessenger.rpm
