Installing winex / cedega through source code

Hello friends i tried wine for while but games seems not working due to the lack of directx support in wine, i heard that winex or cedega could solve this problem. but problem is Winex or Cedega bouth are commercial softwares and no free trial versions are available so i decided to try though source code installation. Googling this topic i got information that sourcecode installation can be done through CVS and i downloaded the cvs script and run the script in my fedora7 but unfortunately i could not succesfully install. Has anybody sucessfully installed Winex or cedega thorugh source code or any free binary is available for fedora7 pls help me to install cedega.

Codeweavers do a lot of good work and nobody is going to help you pirate their stuff. If you want help with a valid CVS repository, we need more information.

What is the repository?
How are you going about the install?

i agree that codeweavers does a good work and i don't want to pirate their stuff. But linux means open source and i'm not a expert in linux, i try linux in trial and error basis and if any thing goes wrong i re-install linux and i'm not yet settled in a Distro. Till that i need to try cedega before going for a purchase coz its not a one time purchase like windows goodies. I tried installing though the CVS script posted in the Transgaming website and the script hangs with out completing installation on Fedora7 and Slack 11. Post me if there is any Bin/Bash like script to install Cedega through source code or if source code is available as Tarballs.

... but winex means you are happy without the source or even the GPL. If you care about open source, don't use wine-anything. Also, "open source" doesn't mean "gratis".

It can be... just don't renew the subscription.

But check the cedega database first to see if the programs you want are supported.

It may be that the hang is because you do't have a suscription... you have yet to answer the questions.
