Installing Wine in Ubuntu with no Internet connection

OK heres the deal i have a desktop at home that i do not have connected to the Internet and no way to connect it however i would like to install wine on it the only way i know how to do it is via the synoptic manager whioch doesn't work without a healthy connection to the internet is there anyway i can install it i am a total newbe I do have access to the Internet and i have a usb drive that i can moves files on

You can download the .deb package here. Download version 1.1.20 for your version of Ubuntu and the correct arch (i386 / amd64).

To install, you can either click on the .deb file and use the prompt or from a terminal run
sudo dpkg -i /path/to/package.deb
