Installing Wine from Knoppix Live CD?
Ok, this is a little bit of a hack but here is my situation, I have a working install of FC5 from DVD and it came with a Knoppix Live CD. Fedora did not come with Wine but the Knoppix CD has a working install of Wine on it. I know I can just do "yum install wine" to install Wine on Fedora but the only thing I can get out here is 28.8 dial-up and yum goes REALLY slow.
How would you go about copying the Wine install off of the Knoppix CD and getting it to run on the Fedora install? |
If you go to /var you might find a list of packages to install. If it is in a .tar.gz format then just copy it somewhere or if you have a flash drive copy it to a flash drive. Other than that I wouldn't know how.
