Wait. Is Kaffeine even the best media player? What media player is the best? Which media player would be the best to watch interracial pr0n on? Does that even matter? Not at all, but I just need to know.

No.
If wget didn't work, just click on the link and firefox will download it on your desktop.
Next open your home/user map (just click on the icon) and drag it in here.
After that all other commands I listed will work (for bot Xine-based players and MPLayer).

Xine(and xine-based) and/or MPLayer will both work with those codecs:
apt-get xine

It didn't work. Well, I don't think it did. I pasted all the stuff you told me to, then tried to watch a porn movie, but I got an error message, so I took a screen shot of it. After I cropped everything else out, I tried to upload it to www.imageshack.us and I crashed AGAIN! All I had running was Gaim with two messages, Firefox, and...that's all. That's barely multitasking.

EDIT: The error said something about f/0 and a plugin. I think I've had it with Ubuntu - what other distros should I try?

I'm very sure those commands do work.
If you really think it doesn't work work post the full error message using your terminal. (play you're movie like this: xine filename).
Did you use xine to play it?
Don't link adult stuff though

Wait. You have to play porn movies through the terminal?

No (it just gives you a more understandable error message). If you have have Xine installed it should be in your menu as well. If not, install it like this:

sudo apt-get xine

Also notice you have a very easy to use GUI for this.
Just start Synaptic from your menu and click on whatever you want to install.

Sir Loin, please can you take a look at the rules you agreed to when you signed up to the site. Swearing is a no no, because we have many young members here on this forum and others who could get offended by swearing for various reasons. Also please do not bump (reply to your own threads) unless they have not been replied to in a 24 hour period. This is because our members live in many different time zones, so give others a chance to see your post. Cheers.

Try pr0n=yes in the xine-config file. (Sorry couldn't resist. Plus this tread is in bad taste anyway)

What jens posted should work if the instructions are followed exactly. Another way to install the codecs as well as many other "restricted" items is by using automatix http://www.getautomatix.com/. The automatix site has very clear install instructions, pretty much copy and paste in a terminal.

The more serious problem seems to be linux not playing nice with your hardware.

This thread isn't in bad taste - what if I wanted to go to <some stupid website link removed> and watch someone get beaten? I'm not trying to ONLY watch porn, it was just the first videos I tried to watch that didn't work. It's not my fault that Linux doesn't allow its users to do one of the most commonly done things on computers. (watching videos, particularly adult videos)

Here is the error I got when I tried to watch a video.

EDIT: When I try to watch <link to video with no place on LQ removed> (it's not porn), I just doesn't load. There is just a blank, white space.

Last edited by jtshaw; 11-14-2006 at 03:58 PM. Reason: we don't need to be linking to disturbing or pornographic videos or images here on LQ.
