As far as I can see, ucLinux is a version of the linux kernel for microcontrolers. Why you want to install it on a desktop? You want to install it's tools to build it for another device?
Did you tried to download it from it's original page?
http://www.uclinux.org/pub/uClinux/

What exactly do you want to do?

Sorry I can't help.
As far as I can see you try to use an ARM emulator, not an ARM board.
And every board will have a few differences.
I did my work with open embedded.

It wound be better if you got info from someone experienced in uCLinux and your board. But since none seems to be available I will try to help (with the possibility to be wrong).
If I understand correctly, the article you read tels you how to get uCLinux working in ARMulator.
Some steps (most of them) are necessary anyway. But you must install the images in your board.
I don't know how your board works. you should have a boot-loader (u-boot,supervivi) already installed. you probably need to change it.
isn't there a forum for your board? from the company? or an irc channel?
In my board (mini2440) I had supervivi and I replaced it with u-boot. I boob the boars from an SD memory in with I have the os and kernel.
I think you can just build uclinux from this page: http://www.uclinux.org/get_started/go-source.html
I have no idea how to put it in your board.
You must find the way to boot in the boot-loader. think of it almost like the bios.
