that steam shit (Yes, it is total shit, face it) is offiiciallt suipported by cedga 4.2 and so is hlaf life 2.

Probably depends on how good you are at coding...
I'm sure wine will do it eventually. In the meantime cedega is only going to cost $15, which is a bit cheaper than windows or HL2.

Oh yeah, I hate steam. A lot. And I will never ever buy another Valve game after the nightmare I had installing HL2 even in windows!!! It took me 5 hours and it hosed a win98se install... I didn't bother with cedega after that, though I use cedega for other games...

Then use it in XP and skip linux. I get a bit up tight about people whinging about the price of cedega when they pay heaps for XP and HL2 and all the rest. Nothing personal... I just see it week after week here...
The money you put into things like cedega helps wine in the long run.

Steam works fine over here with this new ceega (both are a piece of shit). And i didnt pay for either of them...
