Installing software to different path (using make)
Hi, I am using an unpopular distribution called Dragora that uses 100% free software, and to install anything, I have to compile from source.
My question is, how can I do a "make install" but have the output files (binary files, man pages, etc.) install to a different directory?
I have a 350GB partition always mounted on "/mnt/shared/"
I want my Linux partition to only hold the OS files. Nothing more.
"make install" needs to install the files to "/mnt/shared/Linux/"
I know this is possible, I just don't know how to do it.
Please help. It would be greatly appreciated.
