Default for suse 10 is gcc-4.1.0 it seems,
so why go for an older one ?

A package *.rpm will install with Yast, just clicking on the file.rpm
Or install with command # 'rpm -Uvh <package.rpm>'

But when intended for u-boot (-1.1.6 ?) it might be a "tar.bz2" package,
to be extracted and used as a stand alone tool, or to be compiled.

**Please advise "package name" and where you downloaded it from.
**This is also of interest for other members, who uses u-boot.

P.S.: What is "daller loader" (and which architecture ??)

Edit : Please also see this other thread about "loader"
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ghlight=loader
