Installing software help


hi,
after --configure and make command on any kind of software how to redo these changes these two commands made in folders and libs defined in in --configure.

im installing expect on lfs with some errors and i need to clean previously changes in folders and lins to start make over.

when installing expect5.45 lfs7.9 after make i ran test it shows passes 15 failed 11. is it safe to continue or how to undo changes make and configure do.

make clean, probably? It depends on the rules in the Makefile. I'm not familiar with Autohell that much (it sucks), but they probably always have this rule.

i found this in makefile

Code:
distclean: clean
               -rm -f *.tab.c
               -rm -f $(CONFIG_CLEAN_FILES)
               -rm -f config.cache config.log config.status
is that all and thanks

but this not uninstall from directoris like /tools/lib. how to made complete uninstall from all dir in filesistem

it depends on how and if an un-install was added to the make file(s) other wise you have to go manual and remove them yourself.

yes i kinda know that, but always some hope that there some one know simplest way to accomplish staff. Thanks everyone post replays, evry was helpfull.
at the moment i installed glibc in chapter 6.9 without errors and all tests pass. I will obviously had more qestions on this, but i promise i will make blog with my steps and errors when i finished.
