I am trying to install RealPlayer on Redhat Linux 9.0 and I got the bin file from the real.com site. And when I am running that file I got the error as Segmentation Fault. And its exiting the application. What is the problem and what is the solution for this.
Someone please answer this question. I'm having trouble even getting the *.bin file to execute. I have done chmod u+x, but when I try to install it give me the error "cannot execute bin file" or something like that. I do this all from root! Help!
I actually got the RPM from the helix site before I read this post, but thanks for the quick response! I'm listening to streaming media like it's nobody's business !

what's the difference between realplayer and realplayer legacy on the helix download page? also, can u access yahoo movie previews, news, etc audio/video?
I don't know what realplayer legacy is. I just know that legacy, when dealing with computers, usually means "old" or "outdated" and most of the time is dealing with hardware. I just downloaded the regular realplayer rpm and it works great. I haven't checked on a lot of things, but I did listen to a few minutes of .ram from my favorite streaming audio site oneplace.com. It worked great. It was a relief because I have gone for the past few years of using linux without being able to listen to streaming audio because of the wack *.bin file at the real.com site. I didn't even have to jump through hoops to get it integrated with mozilla. I use redhat 9.0 and immediately after I installed it, mozilla was opening up .ram's with it.
