Installing Realplayer 10
Hi
Can someone advise me how I install realplayer 10 on my linux box. Its running Fedora Core 2, Kde 3.2.3. I usually install programs using yum, but this one isn't in the list. So I download the rpm from here but when I try to use kpackager to install it I get this error <home/user/network/download/linux/RealPlayer10GOLD.rpm';echo RESULT=$? error: Failed dependencies: RealPlayer8 = 0:8.0.3.412-6.fdr.0 is needed by (installed) RealPlayer8-plugin-8.0.3.412-6.fdr.0 RESULT=1 Now I do ready have realplayer 8 installed, so I don't know what else it wants. I then tried to install the binary and got Extracting files for RealPlayer installation... Error: short read (6489660/6757796 bytes) (Invalid argument) .rm: cannot remove directory `./hxsetup': Device or resource busy Broken pipe I'd appricate any advice, as I've no idea what to try next. Thanks |

remove the plugin
install from the bin file provided on real's site (download it, su, chmod it 777, ./file.bin) you'll want to install the player to the path /usr/local/RealPlayer (case sensitive) |
