on fedora 10 ?
you do not .
Fedora 10 is 2 years past it's end of life and there is no support

now there are still about a dozen mirrors still up for the OLD rpms for 10
--- warnning ---
they HAVE NOT been updated in over 2 years
They have NOT had any security updates in over 2 years

http://archives.fedoraproject.org/pu...6/os/Packages/

you will need to add the archive reops BY HAND
the locations in the install dvd no longer apply seeing as fedora 10 is a dead version

it is VERY HIGHLY recommended that you install the current version " Fedora 14 "
you are 4 versions out of date .

for referance you might want to read through the fedoraforum section for
" past end of life versions"
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=75
and the sticky on it
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=233942
and
"Repository configuration for older Fedora releases."
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=221471
heed the warnings in red and blue

Like John says : yum must point to the old archive.

Replace '/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo' with a new file : fedora.repo

[fedora]
name=Fedora
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/archive/fedora/linux/releases/10/Everything/i386/os/
enabled=1

[updates]
name=Fedora-update
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/archive/fedora/linux/updates/10/i386/
enabled=1

The above is for i386.
