installing problem
 

Hallo! i have a problem i have already install redhart linux but i dont know how to install software program,couse i want to install the wireless internet moderm i have a CD software in my hand how can i do? plz help me thanx.

You may have to install the drivers for your device. Which device is this? Does the CD has softwares which can run/install on Linux?

Please provide the specs on your computer---particularly the make and model of the wireless card.

Also: What version of RedHat?

To install software, the first thing to try is the package manager. This will be in your menus---typically called something like "Install Software" or "Add/Remove Programs'.

also FOR Red Hat did you buy a subscription ?????
to get updates and access to the Red Hat software repos you NEED to buy the service .

if you did not but it then i would install CentOS

Ok well i have 3G HUAWEI EC305/325/355 Data Modem, i usually used in my windows, now i want to change to the linux redhat version 4 but this software is executable i mean (Setup.exe)and redhat does not surpport executable file how can i do to fix prob?

the very old rhel 4 most likely dose not support that modem .
