installing peripherals

install wizard does not detect

printer, scanner (scsi), modem

What install wizard? Red Hat? Mandrake? SuSE?

What printer?

What modem? Internal (PCI or ISA?) or external?

What scanner?

What SCSI card? Was the SCSI card detected?
