Installing pclinux

Really this should go to the pclinuxos forum, but it turns out their registration requires authentication. So!

I can't install it. I've got the Trinity desktop iso, and I formatted my HD in advance using gparted. 512MB FAT32 for /boot/EFI, swap partition, 10GB ext4 / partition, and my /home partition remaining untouched as always.

When it gets to installing the bootloader it wets the bed. Here ist eh output:

Code:
The "draklive-install" program has crashed with the following error:

  grub2-install failed: Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
  grub2-install: error: cannot find EFI directory.
  	...propagated at /usr/lib/libDrakX/any.pm line 266.
  Perl's trace:
  drakbug::bug_handler() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/any.pm:266
  any::installBootloader() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/any.pm:236
  any::setupBootloaderUntilInstalled() called from /usr/sbin/draklive-install:322
  main::setup_bootloader() called from /usr/sbin/draklive-install:70
  main::install_live() called from /usr/sbin/draklive-install:42
What goes on here?

Is this on a computer with no other OS installed? The EFI partition is usually labelled EFI rather than boot/EFI. The message is that it can't find an EFI directory to install it's files to so you might try that. No other suggestions as I don't use EFI myself. Someone else familiar with EFI might have another suggestion.

10GB seems small for a full install.

I'd have never pre-partitioned it. Let the distro do that. Remove all partitions and try again maybe?? Will have to do full shutdown to make sure partitions start correctly after gparted removal.

Good review of the distro here. http://www.zdnet.com/article/install...llent-release/
