Installing Packet Tracer 5 in Fedora 9

Hey guys...

I am attempting to install Packet Tracer 5 in Fedora 9 and I am running into a problem..

I get the following error when attempting to run the .bin file

Code:
dpkg: command not found
I did a little bit of looking and found out that this command is only available on Debian based systems I believe.

Is there anyway for me to work around this to allow packet tracer 5 to install properly?

Any help would greatly be appreciated

thank you in advance

cheers

todd

Cisco's Network Academy site say that application works on Ubuntu and Fedora I would think they have a rpm download..

have you tried logging into your Cisco Network Academy account to download the fedora version ?

Oh that is probably the reason why. I got myself the wrong copy.. oops.

I will have to login into the cisco site and try and get the rpm version. Thank you very much
