installing packages after install is complete

I initially installed redhat 8.0 without many of the development packages. Now I am having problems with some libraries missing. What I want to do is install those development packages (libraries, etc.). I would like to be able to see a GUI like when I initially installed and I do not want to bring the system down (into rescue mode). I can install off the cd, but how do I know that I am getting all of the development packages?

there *should* be something similar to a "detailed" or "advanced" tab on your gui rpm installation utility that will list the files that would be installed from the particular rpm you're considering.
