Installing Oracle on Linux.
 
Hello,
I am Installing Oracle9i on Red Hat Linux AS on the T40 IBM Laptop on the platform of Intel.But When I started the installation by executing the command ./runInstaller it shows me the error "cannot execute binary file".I checked the permission of the user(since I tried to install with username oracle) and also tried installing with user root but same outcome.The CD from which I am installing Oracle contained the dump in the form of zipped cpio archive which I later unzipped and extracted it from the archive.

If there is a problem launching installer
first check LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
