Hi! I have filezilla 3.7 on Fedora 20 and wish to update it to 3.9.0.1. Could someone give me a bit of knowledge on doing this? When I go to the terminal and put "yum install filezilla" it says that I already have filezilla and I do, but it is not the most recent version. I downloaded the rpm version of it, but have no idea as to how one deals with that either. I would greatly appreciate some help here! Tks!

Like John VV said and just to clarify, the command he gave installs the most recent version in the yum repository for Fedora 20, so if that is 3.7 then you have the most current in the repository for Fedora 20.
you can "try" the binary - but it might NOT be stable on fedora
or
build the source code http://sourceforge.net/projects/file...r.bz2/download
but
you will likely have to REBUILD it a few times for updates to the prerequisites that are installed that might change
I appreciate your help, folks. John VV, do I not need the latest Filezilla? I thought maybe I did as the filezilla website said they wouldn't be giving any help on Filezilla 7. Also the "yum install filezilla" will not install the latest version. That's just FYI. Not criticizing. Also, I am not learned enough to know how to do a rebuild on anything! Perhaps it is best to stick with what I have until Fedora updates it. Anyway, Tks!
