Installing OpenOffice.org Offline on Ubuntu Studio 8.04

Hello everyone,
I have Ubuntu studio running on my computer at home, and I want to put OpenOffice.org on it, but I have to install all of the *.deb packages manualy. Because a lot of the dependencies are not satisfied, I have put a virtual machine onto my Hard drive with Ubuntu Studio installed. and I have to download the .deb's and keep looking for the right ones and keep downloading them onto the virtual machine and trying them to see if they work which is going straight through a windows system because where I am studying they do not use Linux.

I'm just wanting to know, is there any faster way to do this? because doing it all manualy takes a lot of time, and its probally not going to be worth it until I get the internet within the Ubuntu studio Machine.

If any one is able to help me, that would be great :D

What I did when in almost that situation was open synaptic, mark the changes you want go to menu file/dump shell script (or similar) use that script on other machine (you might have to change some things and download wget if you intent to run that script from windows) get all the files download to there on a stick go back to the first machine, and use the file/add downloaded packages (or similar, I have the spanish localized version) and then apply.
What changed for me is that I had a dialup connection for download packages list updates. So don't know how to solve that.
I think that apt-get has a function to dump script that can be the answer.
man apt-get

Oh I see, so basicly you are saying that under "synaptic" it should be able to install the *.deb's straight from the harddrive?
