installing open suse 11.3 and mandriva on usb hard drive.

Hi everyone, hope someone can help me. I have a 250 gig usb hard drive, my bios allows me to boot from it. What I would like to do is install the above 2 o/s so I can dual boot from either one. Is this possible, if so has a tutorial been written that I can follow. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank to all in anticipation.

Could you post your partition information? What is on the computer now? Post partition info using either LiveCD, login to a terminal as root and type: fdisk -l (lower case Letter L) and post the output here.

One thing you need to be careful about is where you install the bootloader files and that depends upon how you want to use the external and what other OS, if any, you have now.
