poor newbie...
makes me think of myself two years ago...
well let me try to help you out:
1: push Ctrl+Alt+F1
2: login as root
3: type: "init 3" (this will normally kills the x server)
4: run the nvidia installation program (u know how to do this i hope)

after the nvidia installation completes (hopefully without error) then enter init 5 to cause the system to return to runlevel 5 and restart X.
To provide a bit of background, Linux has different "runlevels". Runlevel 5 is the most common one used, and it is multi-user with networking and graphical interface. Runlevel 3 is multi-user with networking and no graphical interface. Runlevel 1 is single user with no networking and no graphical interface.
Runlevel 0 halts the system. Runlevel 6 tells the system to reboot. Runlevel 2 is multi user mode with no networking. Runlevel 4 is not used.
From a command console, enter "man init" to get information about init and runlevels.

what "redhat" is this? If this is Fedora Core, you shouldn't use the Nvidia installer and instead use the packages from Livna.

The Nvidia installer should also work fine on Fedora Core.

when installing i get an error saying.
ERROR : Unable to load the kernel module 'Nvidia.o'. This is most likely because the jernel module was built using the wrong kernel source fikes, Please make sure you have installed the kernel source files.for your kernel and that they are properly configured; On red hat linux systems for example be sure you have the 'Kernel-source PRM' installed. If you know the correct kernel source files are installed, you may specify the kernel source path with '--Kernel-source-path' command line option.
Can you please help what do i do with that?

It seems like your kernel and kernel-devel package don't match. What are the results of running
Code:
#rpm -qa | grep -i kernel
