Installing New Version of Netscape
Hi Guys,
I know there's a fairly simple answer to this but darned if I can figure it out ! I downloaded the latest version of Netscape, went throught the installation process, etc. Everything worked fine. The new Netscape browser opened and I was surfin away. Here's the problem: When I re-booted my computer and opened Netscape from the startup menu, it defaulted back to the old version ! I have no idea how to start (or even find) the new version I downloaded and installed. So, before I go and download the new version all over again, what can I do ? should the old netscape and the files and directories associated with it be deleted ? There must be an easy answer to this... Please help. Thanks Mike  |
Dude, save all your downloads in a folder. Do you know the file name? Look for it through find files.

It looks you have now 2 different versions. The new one should be in /usr/local/netscape, if I remember correctly. Look there and write what your have.
