Installing New KDE Themes??

Im sure theres a fairly simple solution to this problem but im a newbie. I go into Control centre, click on apperance and themes and go into theme manager. Theres a link which says get new themes,it takes me to http://www.kde-look.org/ anyway I download my theme, extract it then go into theme manager to install it,but it doesnt find any theme files in the directory where i extratced it. How do i solve this problem? Im using simply mepis and kde 3.4

There are certain ones in there for theme manager which has every thing installed, and I presume you just install them via theme manger, but i didnt work. I also downloaded a set of mac osx icons from that site. It went through a lenghty process of replacing icons,or so it said in terminal. I re booted as the instructions said and nothing happened.

Ok I give up. Ive done all in that link, read all the instructions of the various files, installing them is easy. But they dont show up in the control centre. The only thing thst shows is the icons,I installed them with no problems only they dont replace any of my existing icons which is pointless.

When you install a kde theme, it doesn't just show up as one theme. You need to change various elements seperately, e.g the color-scheme, the style and the window manager.

This is the error i get

"in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!"

Shouldn't it be a matter of just doing "apt-get install kdelibs-devel".
