Installing mplayer with yum

In my other topic, I asked how to get windows media files to work on linux, my answer was: 'mplayer' though I couldn't figure out how to install it currectly with gui.

yum install mplayer

*installs*

at this point I can type mplayer and the program executes, non-gui, and doesn't play files!!

yum install mplayer-gui

*returns dependency error..*
This is the error:

[root@localhost ~]# yum install mplayer-gui

--------------What I think------------------------
I think I might need to do something with codecs but don't know how, and I would loovee to have GUI working.
