Question Installing Linux programs to different ext3 partition

Hi all,

I'm curious as to how to install Debian (DEB) packages onto a different partition than my root partition (/).

Could someone tell me if that's possible? I wouldn't mind just installing software in my MEPIS to my secondary Linux partition.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry about the double-post, didn't mean to do it.

Moderators or admins: just delete my second post if you can. Thanks.
