Question Installing Linux

I'm trying to install Vector Linux on my PC, but i have a couple of questions about it.

1. Linux ask me for MBR, Root, Floppy, which I need to choose?

2. And What partitions I need to make? and what is the bootable partition?

Thanks

You should probably choose "floppy", then later add an entry for Vector in your lilo.conf or grub.conf

if linux is the only operating system on your machine choose mbr, if not choose floppy.
My installer (yast from suse) will choose partitions for me, and it makes sensible choices.
you need at least a root partition, and probably a swap partition as well to start with, read a partition howto, there are many choices.

a bootable partition is the one containing the program that starts the operating system.
