Installing LimeWire


I've installed LimeWire but can't quite get it to work. Once I get it going I get the LimeWire splash screen but then I get this:

What version of java are you using? You can check this by doing "java -version" in Konsole or gnome-terminal.

Java version

I typed java -version and got this:

Use Sun java 1.5 or 1.6 and I am sure LimeWire will work fine. Linux packages are available from java.sun.com.

Question Java versions

Although it says I have Java version 1.4, I downloaded 1.5 but Linux told me I already had it installed.

?

install #alien first

i have 14cds of debian i used apt-get install alien...
