first of all download limewire from www.limewire.org and if you have an rpm based distro you can just get the rpm and do rpm -ivh limewire.rpm or whatever its called otherwise you need to download the limewire for other platforms and unpack it then cd into the directory and do java -jar LimeWire.jar if you dont have java installed thats a whole other thing.

I tried entering it in Root and it said...pm: To install rpm packages on Debian systems, use alien. See README.Debian.
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - No such file or directory (2)
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm

So what does that mean i have to do?

There is also a non rpm version available from the LimeWire website, that just needs to be unzipped and its ready to run.

I'm currently using Simply Mepis 3.3 and all I did was:

Code:
apt-get install limewire
That should take care of it. If not let me know. I'm pretty sure that's what I did, I went through my HDD and I didn't see where I may of compiled it.
